The Global Board Institute has signed a strategic partnership with Board Nominate, the platform that connects boards and qualified directors across multiple countries. The agreement gives members of GBI's Global Chairs & Board Directors Network complimentary access to Board Nominate's Premium experience, which is normally would be paid.
This move has immediately given our members access to 60+ Board Roles across multiple jurisdictions.
The logic behind the partnership reflects a long-standing view at GBI: that a board portfolio is built on access as much as on accomplishment. A director may hold the right experience and the right credentials, yet still depend on being visible to the boards that need them. This partnership is designed to close that gap.
Under the agreement, Network members gain the right to apply to board roles, full visibility of role descriptions and hiring organization profiles, and personalized recommendations through Board Nominate's TrueMatch engine, which works to align a director's profile with the positions best suited to them. The intended outcome is twofold: a stronger chance of being invited onto boards, and a more deliberate, well-matched approach to building a director portfolio over time.
The value runs in both directions. For Board Nominate, the partnership brings a community of experienced chairs and directors who operate to a recognized governance standard. For GBI, it provides members with a practical route from learning and credentialing through to appointment, extending the Institute's role beyond education and into opportunity.
